Mira Como Baila

Oil on Canvas

30"x40"

July 2022

After hundreds of hours and dozens of layers, I've finally finished and hung this Salvador Dali tribute painting.

I've always been fascinated by Dali, and obsessed with his optimal illusion paintings ever since visiting his museum in Figueres, Spain. I was especially inspired when I discovered this lesser known illustration. It features one of my favorite artists, favorite painting styles, and as a salsera, I couldn't resist.

This took months and months and layers and layers, but I'm delighted with how it turned out.
