Painted while sailing away from Sicily during a Mediterranean adventure, Citrus & Sea Salt captures the flavors, colors, and atmosphere that made the island unforgettable.

Inspired by long seaside meals, fresh seafood, bright citrus, pistachios, cannoli, and the sparkling blue coastline, this piece became my way of preserving the feeling of Sicily before it disappeared into the horizon. The air smelled of lemons and saltwater, fishing boats drifted through the harbor, and every meal felt deeply connected to the culture and rhythm of the sea.

Created in watercolor and ink, the composition blends iconic Sicilian ingredients with soft harbor views and Mediterranean light, celebrating the sensory experience of travel through food, color, and place.

As both an artist and traveler, I’m constantly inspired by the small details that make a destination linger in your memory long after you leave. Citrus & Sea Salt is a reflection of that feeling - warm sun, ocean breeze, incredible food, and the bittersweet beauty of sailing away from somewhere that instantly felt special.
